- Bundle up and go play in the snow!
- Sled down a hill
- Ski on your driveway
- Build a snowman, snow woman, snow family, snow dog, snow gator, a whole snow foot ball team, mini snow people, snow hut, snow village – you get the idea!
- Have a snowball fight – or at least make hundreds of snow balls and a snow fort or barricade so your ready for the action!
- Look for animal tracks in the snow – try to figure out who left them
- Make a Snow angel
- Make a path - have some one follow your path
- take pictures of the snow
- shovel a walk way
- Help a neighbor shovel their driveway or walk way
- feed the winter birds and squirrels with bread or bird seed – watch them from a window or make bird feeders!
- cut snow flakes and hang them on thread on the ceiling so it is snowing inside too!
- sip hot cocoa
- eat grilled cheese sandwiches with hot soup!
- measure the snow – try to measure in a few places – figure out why it might be different
- Make summer time snowballs: find a patch of fresh clean snow, fill a cup add juice – mmm!
- Sit and listen to the snow fall.
- Catch Snowflakes on your tongue
- look at snow flakes with a magnifying glass – care not to get too close – or they’ll melt
